Search the Hawaii Host-Pathogen Database
Instructions:
Please enter at least the
first three letters
of a plant's common or scientific name or at least the first three letters of a plant pathogen name. The search results will be displayed in a new window. If you do not find the common name of a plant (there may be numerous common names for a single plant), search for the scientific name.
Key:
sp. = species
prob. = probably
poss. = possibly
X = hybrid or cross
Source of data:
These data derive from records (1995-2008) for plant disease samples submitted by the public to the University of Hawaii at Manoa, Agricultural Diagnostic Service Center in Hilo, Hawaii. Although the base contains 2,800 unique host-pathogen records, this is not complete; there are many other host-pathogen combinations in Hawaii that are not represented. Other records can be found by accessing links provided below, or by contacting Dr. Scot Nelson <snelson@hawaii.edu>.
The database will be revised and updated periodically, and yearly to provide new records.

Diagnostician: Mr. Brian C. Bushe.
Database edited and placed online by: Dr. Scot C. Nelson
Host names were provided by person submitting the sample(s) or by Mr. Brian C. Bushe.
Organisms associated with disease symptoms are not necessarily pathogens.
This database does not yet contain any information from the Oahu ADSC office.
